Introduction to Network

A home network is a group of devices such as computers, game systems, printers, and mobile devices that connect to the Internet and each other. Home networks connect in two ways; either a wired network, which connects devices like printers and scanners with cables, or a wireless network, which connects devices like tablets and e-readers without cables.

Networks can save costs

A home network allows computer owners to interconnect multiple computers so that each can share files, programs, printers, other peripheral devices, and Internet access with other computers, reducing the need for redundant equipment and, in general, making everything easier to use.

Network security plans

The best home network security plan is one that has layers. Each different technique implemented represents a layer. Each layer will require a completely different set of tools and knowledge to break in. The more security measures there are in place the more time, knowledge, effort, and tools it takes to break into a network.

The future of networks

The Connected Home suggests that up to 50 connected or Internet of Things (IoT) devices will be in use in the average connected home by 2020. It will not just be the most obvious IoT applications that will enter the home,  but subtle appliances and products which are designed to make life more convenient.
